In 11th grade, as two high school students from immigrant families, we saw firsthand the struggles of hunger in our parents’ homelands. Driven by our desire to give back, we organized a fundraiser at our parents’ businesses, raising over $1,000. That summer, we each took $500 and traveled to India and Vietnam. We spent our days buying meals and delivering them to families in need. This was the beginning of Lotus4Help, and our dream of making an even bigger impact on the world’s hunger crisis.
